ABMS (American Board of Medical Specialties) Certified Physicians - The "CertifiedDoctor Verification Service" allows the public to verify free of charge the board certification status, location by city and state, and specialty of any physician certified by one or more of the Member Boards of the ABMS. Type the correct spelling of the physician's name in the search and click the Verify button to use this service.

AMA Physician Select - A reference source, produced by the American Medical Association (AMA), that includes demographic and professional information on individual physicians in the United States. One may locate a doctor by name, specialty and location from over 650,000 physicians licensed to practice in the US.

American Hospital Directory - Look up hospitals in the United States and identify general characteristics, services provided, financial information, utilization statistics, and other useful information.

Association of State Medical Board Executive Directors (includes DocFinder) - The health professional licensing database provided by AIM (Administrators in Medicine) and its participating boards.

Directory of American Hospitals -The American Hospital Association has joined forces with U.S. News & World Report to produce a consumer-oriented online directory of hospitals in the U.S. The free directory encompasses more than 18,000 Web pages containing key information and statistics on more than 6,000 hospitals in all 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the territories. The data can be searched by hospital name, state, region and type of hospital.

Find a Dentist - The American Dental Association provides this online directory of dentists who belong to their association.

Find a NJ Doctor:New Jersey Health Care Profile - This site includes information on all doctors who are actively licensed and currently permitted to practice medicine or podiatry in New Jersey. The website can be searched to locate doctors practicing in a particular area or hospital. The profiles contain information about a doctor's education, training, and medical practice.

Joint Commission:Quality Check - The Joint Commission has launched a new generation of reporting health care information about the quality and safety of care provided in its accredited health care organizations across the country.

Medical and Mental Health Related Professional Boards - Prepared by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, this site contains a very comprehensive directory of medical and mental health related professional boards in New Jersey.

The National Health Information Center (NHIC) - A health information referral service. The database contains 1,100 organizations and government offices that provide health information upon request. Entries include contact information, short abstracts, and information about publications and services the organizations provide.

New Jersey Hospital Care Compare - This resource allows healthcare consumers to compare New Jersey hospitals based on a number of statistics regarding the care they deliver to patients.

New Jersey Hospital Performance Report - The New Jersey state Department of Health and Senior Services released its sixth annual report on hospital quality - the New Jersey 2009 Hospital Performance Report. The report includes two additional measures for surgical care infection prevention in addition to performance measures for heart attack, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure.The report also includes 12 new measures for patient safety, as required by Senate Bill No. 2471. The new measures show how well hospitals are doing preventing specific medical errors.

New Jersey Hospital Price Compare - This resource allows healthcare consumers to compare information about various services and charges at New Jersey's acute care hospitals.

New Jersey Report Card for Nursing Homes - Here you will find listed information about approximately 400 nursing homes in the state.

NursingHome Compare - Medicare provides this excellent resource which includes not only location information for nursing homes, but also information from their latest inspection reports.
