Allergy Glossary - This is a good site for reference on terms of food and other allergies. It's prepared by the Health on the Net Foundation.

Dictionary of Cancer Terms - A list of terms related to oncology. To find a term in this glossary, you need to select a letter (the first letter of the word you are seeking) or browse the complete glossary. Compiled by the National Cancer Institute.

Diabetes Dictionary Index - This dictionary of diabetes terms is designed for people who have diabetes, and their families and friends. It provides basic information about the disease, its long-term effects, and its care. The words are listed in alphabetical order. Some words have many meanings; only those meanings that relate to diabetes are included.

Digestive Diseases Dictionary - This dictionary defines words that are often used when talking or writing about digestive diseases. It is designed for people who have digestive diseases and their families and friends.

Glossary of Genetic Terms - Designed by the National Human Genome Research Institute, this Internet dictionary has a search engine available. You can either enter your word in the search box or pick the starting letter from the index. With each term, you can not only read the description but also listen to the detailed explanation, and in some cases look at a picture.

Glossary: Health Communication Terms - This is a good glossary dealing with health communications. It is hosted at NCI's website for cancer patients, the public, and the mass media, managed by the Office of Cancer Communications. The glossary is adapted from "Making Health Communication Programs Work - a Planner's Guide", which discusses key principles relative to specific steps in careful planning and development of health communication programs .

Glossary of HIV/AIDS-Related Terms - The third edition of the Glossary of HIV/AIDS-Related Terms has been updated to include new words commonly used to describe HIV, its pathogenesis, its associated treatments, and the medical management of related conditions. Definitions for new terms have been added and updates to some of the existing terms are also included in this third edition.
