211 Non-Emergency Helpline
- New Jersey residents in need of health and human services,
community resources and governmental assistance are
now just a three-digit telephone call away form the
information they need. All they have to do is pickup
a telephone and dial 2-1-1. The service is available
24 hours a day, confidential, multilingual and accessible
to the hearing impaired.

County Human Services Advisory Council (HSAC) is completing
the research for a new Comprehensive Human Services
Plan. The plan will help set public policy in the future,
pursue funding opportunities, maximize resources, and
minimize duplication of services.

The Margaret Winchester Enrichment Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired - Provides day care services, free of charge, to any blind or visually impaired person who has been determined as legally blind with visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye with best correction, or with a visual field of 20 degrees or less.

Mental Health Department - Mandated since the mid-1960's, each county has one. Boards of 7-12 members, approved by the Freeholders, are charged with procedural, planning, implementation, monitoring, and community education responsibilities. A creation of the Mental Health Board is the Professional Advisory Committee. Staffing the Mental Health Board is the County Health Administrator.
