Accommodations and Modifications of Test Administration
Procedures for Statewide Assessments - In accordance
with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
(IDEA), students who are receiving special education
services must participate in the statewide assessment
system. This document outlines the accomodations that
may be made for disabled students taking the test.
Adaptive
Technology Center for New Jersey Colleges -
The mission of the Adaptive Technology Center for New
Jersey Colleges is to increase opportunities for college
students who have disabilities to meet the academic
demands of college through access to appropriate technology
tools. Technology can assist college students with the
tasks of notetaking, writing papers, accessing information
on the Internet, using email and communicating with
faculty.
Assistive Device Demonstration Center - The Division of Deaf and Hard of Hearing offer this demo center. At the Center, people who are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened, and deaf-blind can receive hands-on training/demonstrations in how to use the equipment.
Assistive Devices: Family Support - Funds are available to help persons with physical disabilities purchase items for basic care or mobility, that are not covered by insurance, Medicaid or other sources.
Assistive
Technology Advocacy Center - The Assistive
Technology Advocacy Center (ATAC) serves as New Jersey's
federally funded assistive technology project through
a sub-contract with New Jersey's Department of Labor.
Its purpose is to assist individuals in overcoming barriers
in the system and making assistive technology more accessible
to individuals with disabilities throughout the state.

Protection and Advocacy - New Jersey Protection
and Advocacy, Inc. (NJP&A) is the consumer-controlled,
non-profit organization that serves as New Jersey's
designated protection and advocacy system for people
with disabilities in the state.
NJ Self-Help Group Clearinghouse - Assists people in finding, forming and learning about self-help support
groups at local, national and Internet levels. Has toll-free helpine and
publishes an annual Self-Help Group Directory, which can be found at
most public libraries.
